Very interested in getting a set of these. They sound great. Won't have to mod my stock set up at the shop I can keep this on the side and swap em out. Anyone put exhaust cut outs yet? That would do both, loud when you want it and stock when you don't. These short tails from aam are a bit pricey though. I can have it done at a shop for $280 straight pipe muffler delete and use my stock tips BUT I won't be able to swap back to stock on occasion. Bet the Short tails would sell more if they were $100 less.
Yes, if you have stock catalytic converters this will add a nice amount of volume and that is what AAM intended them for: Z owners who simply want a muffler delete. However, I have a set of high flow cats and that would make it way too loud for my preferences so I am interested in a muffled version.

I can have it done at a local exhaust shop too but I am potentially going to be working with AAM on other products of theirs so I guess that is part of my motivation.

These would fit just fine! My OEM muffler fits perfectly with my Berk HFCs and my Tanabe Y pipe so these should cut off a whole lot of dead weight that is the stock muffler.
