realistically I think the car will be closer to 3000lbs. I mean just to give you an idea the current Miata is roughly 2700lbs. The FT86 concept is a much larger car, has a rear seat, and will have a larger 2.5 4cly with the addition of turbo components. Unless then plan to make the car all aluminum, carbon fiber, and fiberglass (which would only drive the car north of 30k) I doubt the car will be under 3000lbs.

Which brings me to my next point. By 2013 305hp in the 25-30k market is going to be nothing special. I mean think about it, right now you can get a base 370z for 30k with 332hp or a base mustang GT with 412hp.

I'm not dogging the concept and idea, I just think Toyota and Subaru need to get more competitive. Even the Suby and Evo forums complain that their cars are falling behind the times considering the current competition. I really hope this car comes out well as it will only create more competition and variety in the market. With the right motor the Subaru version could be like a baby GTR.
