I have to agree with Semtex here. Although I like the yellow for the 370, it's just not me. I went with the blue and I've been very happy with it. Relatively easy to maintain (but then again I hand wash/wax it regularly).
Ironically, my 350 was Daytona Blue, which I thought was the most incredible shade of blue. I got a ton of comments on the color - more than the car itself, even. When I saw the new blue, I have to say that I was disappointed, particularly when I saw the cars parked next to each other. At first, I thought it was a sign that I should pick a new color (new car, new color). I was leaning towards the Platinum Graphite, but in the end I ended up with the blue. However, I admit that it has really grown on me and I've gotten a ton of comments on this color as well.
I also agree with Semtex that it is a wonderfully complex color. A light sea/baby blue in direct sunlight (which I prefer a bit less, to be honest). But in the fading light, it turns to a beautifully rich shade of deep blue (more akin to the original 350).
All in all, I am very happy that I got the blue. In fact, I just finished another wash/wax (Maguire's NXT) this afternoon. I used to use pure carnuba but the NXT synthetic is dead easy to apply and beads like crazy. It also seems to take multiple coats much better.
Either way, you're getting a great car! You're going to love it! I'll be heading over to Willow Springs for a track day on the 17th and I can't wait. It's the first day on the track for the new Z. Just hoping that I can manage to survive the day without becoming acquainted with Mr. Limp Mode...
