**DISCLAIMER** This post applies only to Bridgestone RE-11’s mounted on stock sport 19inch wheels and should not be construed, either impliedly or expressly, to apply to any other tire or manufacturer mounted on any other wheel.
I ran 265 up front and 305 in the rear all season without any problems. To adjust for oversteer I just played with tire pressure. The RE-11’s are a great tire that handle swings in tire pressure with real grace.
I believe that the 265/35/19 up front on the sport stock rim is a perfect fit.
However, the 305/30/19 on the rear stock sport wheel does not really fit. It's not that it's dangerous (I had seven track days and a season of autocross with no problems) or that it rubs, it is that the tire is so pinched you can't take advantage of all the rubber.
If you look at my fronts (265), I was able to wear the tire right to the tread indicator (the little /\).
However, I was never even able to come close to the tread indicator on my rears (305). Next time I will opt for the 285’s on the rear.
Please don’t read this post as saying that 305’s will not fit on our sport stock rims. They definitely fit and they look spectacular! However, it is apparent that you don’t get full use of the tread surface.
