Not out of the question.. K&N builds a great filter, but there is some cleaning application with the oiling..
And let's take the MAF issue out of the equation.. it's not a reality, K&N has fought that internet rumor hard.. as long as the application of the oil is done even semi-correctly..
But that being said, you're asking for dry filters on the Gen 3's?

YES! I think since Z1 has the options for painting your intake now you might as well be able to choose between a wet or dry filter
The reason I went with my Injen was 1, black paint (no polishing) and 2, Dry flow filters (no oiling) 3, I had experience with these from my G35
All I am saying is give people the option and you have the intake market in your hands
