not exactly sure about the Z, but canadians are very picky about safety and emission. Many cars sold in the US are not allowed in Canada due to safety regulations (one example i can think off top of my head is VW R32 due to inadequate bumper safety). Not to mention importing a car from the US now does not make much financial sense anymore. Due to the previous influx of US cars when exchange rate favored canadians, canadian auto industry had to readjust their price to match the US counterparts. The result: it's actually cheaper to buy in canada than to pay all the extra fees & taxes involved with importing a new vehicle.
dieseldub - when you are at the dealership, you can ask them to show you the inventory across canada on the monitor. they should have no reason to refuse (if they do, something's fishy). if they do find a matching car in another province, they can easily trade with the other dealership, but it will also be harder for you to bargain since it's more work for them...etc. IMO, just order one
