'76 Firebird - Fast car (400cc). Handling? Not so much. Absolutely everything broke at one time or another. Cooling system was especially vulnerable. Eventually gave it away to my brother. One of the wheels fell off when he was driving it. I assume it ended up in a junkyard.
'86 300ZX - Beautiful car. Supposedly "champagne" in color (likely dealer BS!). Had it for 2 months and it was way more than I could afford. That problem was taken care of when some dude T-boned me after failing to yield at a stop sign. Totally his fault. Front-side passenger wheel got bent about 45 degrees. Car obviously totaled. Insurance didn't nearly cover the loan.
'85 300ZX - Less impressive than the '86 in so many ways. Car had problems from early on. The first thing that went was the electronic dash. Doh! Not good when everything is digital (speed, fuel gauge). Very bad luck with this car. Fuel injectors leaking was a big prob. Eventually had to replace the engine.
This car made me POOR (but it was fun to drive)!
'04 Honda Element - I plead temporary insanity. Seriously, just move along here, nothing to see!
'06 Mustang GT - I've always liked Mustangs and was a huge fan of the new design when it came out. The car is not a bad car. Very reliable through 30K so far. Very fast, but handling/suspension leaves something to be desired. Style's kinda gotten old on me, and can't compare to the outright foxiness of the Z!
It will make somebody happy after I trade it in.
'10 370Z, Platinum Graphite - Future car!
Realistically won't be able to get it until next year (it's a long story). In the meantime, I'll just feed off y'all's good vibes!
