The 2011 GT now almost exactly matches the M3 on the track. (
2011 BMW M3 Coupe vs. 2011 Ford Mustang GT - Specs - Motor Trend ) I don't believe the 370Z can keep pace unless it's a very tight autocross (basically no straights). There are plenty of reasons to pick either car, but raw performance goes to the Stang as of now.
