Well i say good luck using the absorber. It creates suction and pressure and is hard to pull across your car. It defintly can and will create those fine scratches.

As for will 100% cotton scratch your car? any thing can probably scratch your car but as long as you clean it with liquid tide free of dyes and perfumes and make sure there is no debri's in it you should be fine with cotton.
