First, I wear my seatbelt every time. As does my wife and we believe it is a good example for our son.
With that said this is an example of the government forcing us to do something because they think it is best for us. The only person that can be harmed by me not buckling up is me. I don't believe we should allow our government to get in the habit of enforcing what they think is best for me when the choice is not infringing on anyone else.
