The Nissan Ester oil is a partial Synthetic with a proprietary blend of additives.

I do my own oil changes and service. The "scheduled" services by the dealer are just a way for them to make money by doing very little. You can look up in the service manual what is required at each maintainence interval, but at 24K km it shouldn't be much, it's mostly inspection.
