We've been using K&N filters on all of our intakes since forever and have had no problems.

with Josh. I've designed, built and sold over 1000 K&N based intakes for another brand (Audi/VW) which has a very sensitive MAF based control. No issues at all until the owner over-oils one during his first cleaning. Oiled correctly per the K&N guidelines they are trouble free..
