I have installed the Stillen CBE and combined with the intake that I described above my "butt" dyno tells me that I am producing more horsepower. It may be the placebo effect, but I know that others here have seen real gains with similar setups. I know that my Z certainly sounds better.
I have a feeling that the gains that I would pick up from installing a long tube intake at this point would not be worth the expense. I intend to get some HFC's at some point and from what I read here that will give me more bang for the buck. Unless you are going for a better looking intake, which is a valid reason to add an aftermarket unit, I would just add the drop in's and see if you are satisfied with that.

I am also going this route. k&n drop ins with HPS post MAF tubes. I have ERZ HFCs and a JIC Magic Y pipe, the sound increase is noticeable Intake and Exhaust, and my butt dyno feels that the car has more power. Will be going to dyno soon hopefully ill have around 300 whp.
