I have a set of these trim tools, they're $10 at Harbor Freight. Most Super Street & D Sport mags have a coupon for there too. They are plastic so there is less danger of scratching the paint like a metal tool will. Great for interior panels also:


I'd probably mask the surrounding area with blue masking tape too.
