Well, I am finally selling my 2002 Subaru WRX Sedan. I am the original owner of the vehicle. The title is clean and I own the car outright. It has never been in an accident/collision, has been garage kept (both at work AND at home) and has been meticulously maintained by me since it was first purchased in March of 2002. The Carfax is available to any interested buyers. Simply send me an email request and I will send it to you. Oil changes have been performed religiously at or before every 3,000 miles using ONLY Mobil 1 5W-30 Synthetic oil and OEM Subaru filters. Spark plugs and fuel filter has been changed every 12,000 miles. The clutch, pressure plate and flywheel was just installed about a year ago. New water pump and timing belt were changed 3 months ago. I am selling the car because I recently purchased another car (time to move on and find the WRX a new home). Over $8,000 worth of upgrades have been installed on the car. The following is a detailed breakdown:
Exterior
The car has minor evidence of cosmetic wear and tear over the last 8 years, but is in fantastic condition considering its age and use (no major dents to speak of). It is silver in color and has been garage kept so the paint is in great shape. The car is also fitted with the following:
OEM Subaru aero kit
JDM STi hood scoop (factory painted, so it matches perfectly).
Interior
The interior is in fantastic condition aside from some wear on the top of thwe steering wheel and the shift know (both very easily and inexpensively remedied). The following is a list of items fitted in the interior:
OEM Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Package
Blitz Turbo Timer
Omori 52mm Boost Gauge (Psi). Color matched to OEM interior gauges.
WeatherTec All-Season Rubber Floormats
Boston Acoustics Speakers (6.5" Separates - Front, 5-1/4' Coaxials - Rear)
XM Sattlite Receiver (requires buyer subscription)
Suspension/Ride
The car is fitted with bolt on performance parts that compliment its driving abilities. I have driven many friend's STi's and this car feels identical in body-roll, turn-in, etc. The following is a list of what is currently fitted on the car:
Eibach Pro-kit Springs (approx. a 1" drop from OEM)
Camber Correction Bolts
Whiteline Adjustable Sway Bars (Front and Rear)
Whiteline Heavy Duty Rear Sway Bar Mounting Brackets
Whiteline Sway Bar Links (Front and Rear)
Whiteline Polyurethane Steering Rack Bushings
Whiteline Polyurethane Differential Outrigger Bushings
Rota Tarmac II Rims - 18"
Falken Ziex 912 Tires (225/40/18) - Installed just last month! (Brand new!)
Gorilla Lug Spline Drive Lug Nuts (Black)
Brakes
Everyone knows that if you make your car faster, you'll need to give it the ability to stop faster as well. This car stops very well with little to no brake fade. Even at speeds well over 100 mph, there is almost no noticeable fade. The following has been fitted on the car to produce the excellent stopping power:
DBA Drilled/Slotted Rotors (Vented Front/ Single Rear)
Axxis Ultimate Brake Pads
Goodridge Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines
ATE SuperBlue Brake Fluid
Performance
If you are reading this lisiting and considering purchasing this WRX, it is because you are alredy very familiar with its performance abilities and it's reliability. One of the major factors in my deciding to purchase this car from day one was the ability to extract very real horsepower without sacrificing reliability with simple bolt-ons. Even with all of the performance upgrades, the car still gets about 20 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway. I have fitted the following on this car which now produces approximately 330hp/300ft-lbs torque at 17.5 Psi with negligible turbo lag:
· VF34 Ball Bearing Turbo
· Sti 565cc "Pink" Fuel Injectors
· COBB Accessport V.1 Stage 2.5 Tune (ver. 1.30)
· Warlboro 225L/hr. Fuel Pump
· Invidia Polished Up-Pipe (catless)
· Helix 4" Downpipe (catless)
· Greddy EVO II Full Polished 3" Cat-back Exhaust
· Kartboy Extended Polturethane Exhaust Hangers
· Sti Engine Mounts
· Sti Pitch Stop Mount
· Sti Transmission Mounts
· Whiteline Polyurethane Shifter bushings
· Perrin Silicone Turbo Inlet Hose
· TurboXS Top Mount Intercooler (4" core)
· Samco Silicone Intercooler Hoses
· Mishimoto Full Aluminum Radiator
· K&N Panel Air Filter
· ACT Streetlite Lightened Flywheel
· 8ga. Earthing Kit
· NGK Iridim Spark Plugs (BKR7EIX) - one step colder than OEM to prevent detonation at high boost
*Transmission issue: 3rd gear is broken. It started making a funny sound a few days ago (a kind of fluttering - all other gears sounded fine) and finally gave out. Luckily I was simply cruising on my way in to work and it just crumbled. I let off the gas, threw it in neutral, coasted into a parking lot and turned off the ignition (so, luckily, there is no other danage other than that) where it was later towed to my house. It is now parked safely at home, but looks like it will require a rebuild or an upgrade. I always wanted to upgrade to an STi 6-speed, but never got around to it. If I was going to keep the car, that is EXACTLY what I would do (it really is the only thing I was missing!).
The car is being sold in as-is condition. It will need to be picked up by the buyer (or shipping must be arranged by the buyer at his/her expense). As you can see, this car has everything you could want from a powerful, reliable daily driver with serious performance on tap at all times. It will be sorely missed and I hope whomever buys herwill take extra special care of her as I have. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Asking price as-is = $6,500 Anyone seriously interested, please email me at:
