The dealership WANTS to do the warranty work! They get paid more for the warranty work than out of warranty work. If they ever deny the claim like in this case, it's because they fear that Nissan will learn of the aftermarket parts and deny the claim. The problem is, they can do this after the repair is made. That leaves the dealer stuck with paying for the repair that should not have been done.
In short, the dealer is just looking out for themselves.
In the future, if you're taking your car in for warranty work, remove ALL of your aftermarket crap before you take it in! They don't warranty aftermarket parts, they warranty factory parts. Don't believe me? Put a Spec Stage III clutch in your car and try to get your tranny replaced under warranty.

Ive also heard too much warrenty work can cause some attention and possibly audits.
