I think it's the other way around. My Mustang was really as smooth as butter on a hard launch, but the Cobras had and their IRS had a hell of a time putting the power down without the new bushings to help.
It could just be the design of the suspension, though, not necessarily whether it's IRS or a solid rear, because wheel hop is a huge issue leaving the pits in NASCAR and under heavy braking/accelerating at road course tracks. They have solid rears but use an old-school truck-arm set up.
