that's a big miss understanding, You can Get on the car, (punch it, floor it, WOT, whatever you want to call it) as long as the clutch pedal is already fully released and the clutch is engaged. you Don't want to Slip the clutch. (Launching, clutch kicking, or "Riding" the clutch) that will glaze the material and is what will cause the clutch to slip in the future.
