Depends on what amps from today you are talking about. Like you could compare them to the alpines which would be close or compare them to audison and image dynamics which they would be better or things like pioneer or kenwood amps that would be junk compared to the old orions. Personally I like the newer amps like audison and ID but the old orions are amazing as well.
