good service centers won't ever give you crap for mods unless it's obvious that something you added is causing problems.

Nah, just the rear section. The factory exhaust is already 3" from the collectors back, and you retain the resonators to keep things more civil. Unlike the Z the 5.0 doesn't really gain much from a cat-back since the factory pipes flow really well to begin with.
