I know some of you need to drive an hour to get to Canton, but I suggest 9am - it is a reasonable time on a Saturday. By the time we are all ready to go, it probably will be 9:30am or later. A suggested route is below - it is the route we did on our first mountain run a few months back, and we ended up in Helen area, which we can explore further since we did not have time to go further North, or we can take 60 all the way up. The starting point will be the Canton Starbucks on Riverstone Parkway (353 Riverstone Pkwy # 110, Canton). There will be multiple stops along the way, so we can change the route at any point.

Riverstone Pkwy to I-575 S - Google Maps - Google Maps Scroll left to find the route in BLUE
1. Leave Canton Starbucks - get a coffee for on the road (point A)
2. Stop 1 at the overlook - take some pics and enjoy the scenery
3. Stop 2 if lunchtime stop at Chic-fil-A in Dahlonega with possible pictures at lake Zwerner just north of there (point G on map).
4. Stop at Vogel state park - not sure if we have to pay to get in, but maybe stop there for a minute.
5. Head back folks from the east-side can take 400 back south, other take rt 53 through Dawsonville to Tate, which is a nice route.
