Texting is even worse than talking on a cellphone. I sheepishly admit to doing both occasionally when I really need to, but the whole time I'm very aware of how stupid I'm being, and I only do it in lower-risk driving situations, and give myself more buffer room on all sides, and watch the road like a hawk when I'm doing it. It's nerve-wracking, and I dislike doing it when I do.

I'd say about 70% of the time that I get pissed off at some driver for totally ignoring traffic around them (you know, like those 'island' guys who are the one car going 20mph slower than the rest of traffic, or the dude clogging up the fast lane at 5 under the limit, etc), when I look at the driver, they're doing something with a phone and completely ignorant of the situation they're causing.
