I've taken several long trips over the past two weeks. Trips that I would normally not do. I'm generally a local driver....home to work and back and then maybe a little local driving during the weekend. However, I did the Z Nationals drive last week (1600 miles round trip) and today went to Ztoberfest in Richmond, VA (180 miles round trip).

In those two trips, my hood on the left side (passenger side if facing the car) has started to bow up really bad. It's also rubbed my strut tower bar in two places and also began to rub my Password:JDM cooling plate on the passenger side.

Today, when I arrived at Ztoberfest I got out and looked back at my car and there was such a huge gap on the side of the hood it was redonkulus! Then, when I raised the hood, someone noticed one of the locking mechanisms was loose! They luckily had the tools to tighten it so that issue has been fixed but m hood is so warped (and now it's getting cooler so there won't be much heat during the day to shape the hood back in place....which it did a few times back during the summer).

Lesson learned? Never purchase knock-off Chinese parts for a Japanese car, I guess. I want a Varis CF hood......and now, it's not just a want.....it's leading to a need!
