You went too far bro. I'm a former car salesman, and if they don't contact you back, forget it.
$1,000 over invoice is a good deal. $1,500 is OK. Don't expect Nissan stores to act desperate to whore out a 370. There are people who got a lot more money than you that'll let these dealerships make some profit.

The way I see it is this, if they are making a profit on these cars, they will continue to do so, but if they are not, they will drop the price to "move" cars.
Your probably right, I went too far for my local dealers - my local dealers must be making a good profit and selling a decent amount of 370z's. That would explain why I had to resort to out of state to get the deal I wanted.
Why is it that person I spoke with in CA made the first offer below invoice, I didnt even ask for invoice yet? And He told me if I ordered one from factory and waited, he'd give me an even better discount as apposed to getting one thats in a dealer lot somewhere in CA.
while you have a point, nobody wants to spend more money, the dealer knows this. Its human nature to get the best deal out of things, this applies to both the dealership and customers. One is just better versed at it than the other most of the time.
