Well well, looky here. Same thing was happening on my 2005 Maxima SE 6 speed.

Looks like they STILL haven't done anything about this.

It almost NEVER happened in cool/cold weather. Only the summer months after the card idled (waiting at a drive through for example). It started to happen AFTER I put on an under-drive pulley but I believe this to be a coincidence.

The theory we had going on in the Maxima forum at the time was boiling clutch fluid as guys who converted to silicone high temp clutch fluid never again had the issue.

One thing that I did to get the clutch pedal back was to pump it, then drive at a fairly high speed on the highway.
