it's just a personal preference. my brothers are like you. they would buy different models from the same car manufacturer. me, i prefer to buy from different car manufacturers. they like mercedes-benz and i had a mercedes-benz before i got the 370z. so when we had a family get together, our driveway would look like a mercedes-benz dealer lot
