the GT500's biggest issue is grip, it makes a s
hit ton of power/torque, throw some slicks on it and it instantly turns into a mid/high 11's car. But I agree, you can get a base 5.0 like mine for 27.5k, Whipple has a 2.3L twin screw kit that makes 624hp at 9psi safely for 7k, so for roughly 34k, you can have one of the baddest cars on the street. Suspension of course is a different story but if you're going for straight line, you cant really beat it.
