Relentless Rear Rotor Review
This is a review of the quality of Relentless Rear Rotor offering. After talking to Scott at Relentless Autosports about the new thicker rear rotors and install kit, I thought I would order a set and see how they worked. The rotors are finished well and have plenty of meat available for ultimate stopping power on the Akebono stock brakes calipers. I liked the idea of having a 13.8” rear big rotor kit and at a fraction of the cost of a complete aftermarket BBK.

The install was simple enough with the original caliper removed and ready for dis-assembly.
Once the caliper is apart it is really easy to see how the kit parts are to be assembled and how the larger rotor is accommodated within the caliper.
The brake pad spring clip need to be adjusted to allow for proper placement within the caliper.

I haven’t had the opportunity to test the rear rotors on the track to see how they really perform. I have noticed more noise (rattling) from the rear hatch area and I’m wondering if I now have the dreaded rear hatch rattle or is it the rear brake pads? In all fairness, I did change some of the rear suspension arms to SPL parts and that may also be a cause and effect, as the rubber isolation points are gone and replaced with metal bushings, which may be causing more noise in the rear hatch area as well. The rattling noise, I’m sure, will ignored soon enough.
The rear rotor kit is a quality, well assembled kit, which should add some serious upgrades for track use. Time will tell and is highly recommended, as a affordable upgrade for the stock Akebono brakes. I definitely like them a lot better than the stock rotors.
