I was looking at the initial post and saw that it was an Oxygenated blend. Which of course made me instantly think of the effect that NOS gives cars and that is mostly to put more oxygen into the whole combustion process. Which would of course make more HP. So Oxygenated gas should do the same thing as NOS on a more limited basis as you are not getting the same level of Oxygen as a NOS Shot.

Now your pinging issue would certainly come into play if they are not raising the octane of the fuel at the same time as raising the oxygen.
