Semtex did a DIY thread on this a while back: DIY: Blinder installation and radar detector hardwire

I went down the passenger headliner/pillar and connected the V1 hardwire kit to the wires on the back of the lighter socket under the glovebox. The invisiwire thing looks even easier though.
