You can do it yourself if you have some mechanical skills. You can also look for a reputable shop in your area, maybe search the forum or you can have the dealer install it. The only thing you can really screw up is the MAF sensor if you drop it or you don't fit it properly and cause vacuum leaks. Both avoidable if your careful.

Your entire warranty cannot be voided. The part you replace and anything damaged by that part will no longer be covered by the factory warranty. Your transmission for example, is still covered.
