It's your car...have fun with it! I'll be doing body work next, but I keep all the stock pieces as well.

I'd recommend searching a local car forum and looking for reviews on local boy shops. Call local body shops and visit them. See what kind of work they do and ask for pictures of what they've done in the past.

Dealers don't do body work in house for the most part. They contract 3rd party body shops...which means the dealer will charge a percentage on top of what the body shop charges them. It will be more expensive and depending on the body shop, the quality of their work may not be up to par.

You get what you pay for...especially when it comes to a body shop!
