I'm obviously biased towards my Z, as I'm in love with its handling, power, and good looks. But I can also respect what Ford have done with this new Mustang. It has just nudged the bar upward for the muscle car once more. A bargain M3 at half the price of a real one.

I owned a '92 GT w/ the 5 speed and a '95 Z28 w/ the six speed. Both were fun cars and probably easier to live w/ day-to-day. The one thing that stands out b/t those two and the Z is that I also rode sportbikes at the time. The Z allowed me to give them up because of its handling/power combo. I'm sure the new 5.0 is worlds above the cars I had, but I don't think I would have been able to kick the sportbike habit as easily as w/ the Z. I like the Mustang and it is a good all-arounder like the M3 is, it just doesn't possess the same tactile steering feel/tossability of the Z.
