Since when? I was one of the 1st people to get the Stillen "race" oil cooler and mine did not come with a thermo-plate.

To the original poster...last winter I covered most of my oil cooler with a home made cover. Works like a charm. Before my morning temps would not go over 165. With the cover even with ambient temps in the high 30's my oil temp still reached 180.
