You know it's funny you mention the rev-limiter. I've only had it up there at 8000 a couple of times and it wasn't under any normal driving condition. It was in a first gear burnout where I smoked the tires all the way up to redline (Video coming

Anyway, my car gets moving so damn fast in terms of mph through the gears that I almost never even get to 7000 rpms before a shift ensues! Now I imagine when I hit the Texas Mile in October I will definitely take full advantage of this higher rev limit but on normal streets... not so much.
