Well the whole point of the product is to avoid cutting and splicing. If you are going to cut, you can go to radio shack and get it done.

This install is alot scarier to think about doing, than actually doing it. If you have a trim panel tool, a screwdriver, a socket wrench (for the negative battery terminal) and soft towels you can do the installation. But yes it is scary when you've never done it before. I was very nervous that I was going to damage something, but I really don't have anyone else I would trust with it in my area outside of the dealer (I am fortunate to have a dealership with a top notch service dept). And they are NOT going to install this device for you lol.
