It's actually pretty off color for a manufacturer to chime in on something everybody with half a brain already realizes. However, this is not an "almost" new engine and you would know that if you actually built engines and were aware of exactly how long it takes an engine to "break in" (not very long). After over 2 oil changes those break-in wear particles would have been flushed out. I'm judging based upon UOA's I've seen from similar mileage VHR's on other oils.
Besides, I have no affiliation with any oil company. What do I have to gain or lose based upon which oil you end up choosing? Absolutely NOTHING. I'm just trying to save people some heartache by suggesting they go with oils that experts
know to be supreme oils for street/strip-type usage.
I've never known ANYBODY who produces and tunes 1000+ WHP import monsters to recommend or use Royal Purple. Add that to my own personal experience with it, and it's a no brainer.
