I used 5w20 on my RX-8. If it can handle the heat from a 9k rpm rotory, it can handle the VQ37. The 5w30 just has better protection/lubrication. Try going to a Nissan dealer and order the oil (5w30) from them. Just be prepared to pay a lot more for Ester Oil.
