Is it cuz the oil will run too thin? Just rememberd, makes sence to not go that thin cuz the car has a high oil temp issue and combining that with tropic temps.... it would be WAY to thin when it gets warmed up. am i on the right track? thank you

I used 5w20 on my RX-8. If it can handle the heat from a 9k rpm rotory, it can handle the VQ37. The 5w30 just has better protection/lubrication
. Try going to a Nissan dealer and order the oil (5w30) from them. Just be prepared to pay a lot more for Ester Oil.
