i'd give it a 9... The iphone app is pretty cool, i don't really use it much unless i think i forgot to lock my car. Mostly its for peace of mind (which is a big deal to me)if i'm out of range of the remote, like at the mall or out with friends in another car and mine's parked at someone's house.

only draw backs are, if any of the sensors go off, you get a notification that says 'trunk open.' instead of like 'tilt sensor' or 'glass sensor' But it gets the point across, '**** IS GOING DOWN AT YOUR CAR!'

unfortunately, there are still ways to circumvent the alarm, like cutting the battery and all that stuff, but they make back up battery systems, but my feeling is that no matter what, nothing's foolproof. I think i have enough security for the average thief to not want to mess with my car.

oh yea one other drawback is that you have to use the viper remote all the time instead of your nissan remote. You basically don't touch your nissan remote at all, its just there for starting the car. If you lock the doors (which arms the alarm) with the viper remote, and then unlock it with the nissan remote, it WONT disarm the alarm, and it WILL go off when you open the door/trunk. so you basically never use the keyless entry button on the door anymore, but i'll make that sacrifice for added security.
