Default I'm wanting a Z really bad

I test drove a 370Z yesterday and I was blown away. Before blowing a lot of my savings on one, I had a few questions that I was hoping you all could answer.

I have never owned an import; always had GM cars. I currently have a firebird and enjoy it because I can do a lot of the basic maintenance myself. I looked under that hood of the new Z and noticed that there is a big engine cover on top of the thing. Once this is removed, how easy is it to access plugs, wires, coils... etc? I bring this up because today this guy i work with was saying how to change the plugs in his Tiburon, he basically has to take apart the engine to get to them because the engine is mounted sideways. I know the motor in teh Z is probably mounted longitudinally and plugs could be easily accessed, but I just want to be sure. Kinda a odd question I know, but I don't want to take apart a manifold to reach spark plugs.

Anyways, I hope to drain the oil in my bird and park it for a long time so that I can start driving one of these.
