The convention begins on Wednesday and runs through Sunday, August 1. You can find a full schedule of events at the ZCon2010.com website (LINK), but here are a few of the highlights:
- The Z Car Club Association (ZCCA) has reserved the Nashville Motor Speedway for motorsports activities throughout the weekend including autocross and a drifting exhibition on Friday, July 30 and hot-lapping sessions on Sunday, August 1st
- A ZCCA judged car show on the lawn at Nissan North America’s headquarters in Franklin, Tenn. on Saturday. There will also be People’s Choice awards for Z cars from each generation
- Tours of the Nissan assembly plant in Smyrna, Tenn. (Thursday) and the Lane Motor Museum – featuring a Nissan display (Friday)
- A Z cruise to the Jack Daniels Distillery
- On Saturday, John Morton, Steve Millen and Peter Brock will be on-site signing autographs and talking with fans. Randy Rodriguez, the designer of the 370Z, and the designer of the original 240Z, Matsuo-san, will also be in attendance Saturday.
- If you’ll be attending, and would like to bring some questions from your community to have answered by any of the above, please let me know and we can work to arrange some time for you to speak with them
- 40th Anniversary 370Z cars on-site
It should be a great event for everyone involved as we celebrate this milestone anniversary for our most beloved car. If any of your members are attending, we’d love to see their photos/videos from the event! Please encourage your members to post them to Facebook.com/Nissan and/or send them to us on Twitter at Twitter.com/NissanNews.

My colleague Jessica Reed will be on site at the event this weekend, and she’d be happy to send along pictures from the event to share with your members if you’re interested.
