I would be upset also. I was just looking at it from the stealerships point of view. They are covering their  as they should be.
Hopefully it gets resolved for you soon. But as far as the duct tape that is just the dealer doing his due dillagance when Nissan asks them what they did to make sure it was on the up and up.
