Realistically, the price is posted. If you take issue with the price, then don't buy. If you want to negotiate, there's nothing wrong with asking in a PM.
On the other hand, 300 wouldn't be unreasonable for a lightly used one. Considering this is brand new in the box, it may be. But either way, the perspective buyer is also free to speculate and offer. A bid shouldn't be considered an insult. If that's what dude can afford, then that's it. You can say no gracefully as well.
