DO NOT polish the blue tip area- it will get rid of the blue along with the scratch as it's burned onto the surface. Rubbing or polishing compound is probably not the best idea to do either.

The best thing I can probably suggest is to wait until it cools down and use soap and water to clean it and use a cotton towel to see if it buffs out. Windex and WD-40 also works- just make sure you clean/rinse it off thoroughly afterwards and before you turn on the car.
