Yes that package combination is possible (and common) so you should be able to find some around in that configuration.
Driving in the snow on the stock tires is essentially impossible as they are high performance summer tires. With winter tires it is certainly possible but probably not quite as easy as the TL. Personally I actually like driving rear-drive cars in the snow (with the right tires) but I'm weird.
As for the overheating issue, it's not actually an issue unless you're running the car hard at high RPM's. The only way you can get the car to truly overheat is at the track.
