Here's how I look at it:
a. IF you're already going for Touring model (leather seating), you might as well add the factory nav because it's dirt cheap (about $1600 invoice). It's VERY well integrated and the dash looks 10x better. However, the drawback is if you want to update the maps/software, you must go to dealer. I believe it cost like $175 (someone can correct me).
b. If you're getting Base (or base with sports package), aftermarket should def be your ultimate choice. Just to get the nav, you have to fork out another 3-4000 dollars for touring model. Also, I have been very happy with my Kenwood DNX. Updating the maps are FREE from the manufacturer.
