That's ******** that they wouldn't cut you a break. My best advice is to go in there with the invoice sheet that was provided on here. That shows them that you know what you are talking about. Tell them what you want and at what price you want it. Give them as much info as possible concerning your background. Tell them you are pre-qualified already and ready to purchase. If they don't want to cooperate just tell them that you'll go to another dealership that will appreciate your business. You will see how fast they'll chase after you. LOL!
Another piece of advice that was very useful to me was that I sent out a mass email to all my local dealers. I mad sure that every dealer saw who it was sent out to. It's a psychological ploy. They see competition and they want to match and beat other dealers. I received many emails within 24 of sending it out. It worked like charm. Heres the email I sent out. I hope it helps.
Greetings,
I am replying to all your emails and I would like to see what you have to offer in terms of prices. I am looking for a Pearl White 370Z with a sport package and with the options listed below. Just to give you a brief background I'm currently in the military and have 8 years of service. I am also currently deployed in Iraq but I am home for 2 weeks leave. I currently own and drive a Honda S2000 that will not be used for trade in. I will be in NJ from April 12th to the 16th. I would like to be driving off the lot in 370Z by the 15th.
Like any good shopper would do, I am shopping around for the best deal on a 370Z. So far I am only considering dealers in the North NJ area. Whoever gives me the best deal, will get my business. I know if you were in my shoes, you would do the same.
I've also done my homework on the car, which is how I was able to come up with the figures below. I left out the taxes. Are you able to give me a price somewhere in between the invoice and MSRP totals at the bottom?
What is your best offer?
