Yup... I work in the manufacturing/wholesale industry and the factory's that we work with always tell us the items are shipped or are on their way when in fact the entire order didn't even finish going through production. So ETA is just an estimate not an actual date unless they provide tracking/container numbers.
Not trying to back up Berk at all here but at our company we deal with similar situations. Bunch of "paid" back orders and the factory gives us the run around. Most cases, we give the run around to the customers that are on back order. However if it takes too long we issue full refunds.
