Is this the car/bluetooth/mic, or is it my Blackberry?

Is there a way to boost reception on the mic? I'd really like to take advantage and be able to use the handsfree talking, but so far it has proven difficult to use reliably.
I think it's your phone. I don't have any issues with my Bluetooth being too quiet.
