Iniesta is a good all arounder, but Xavi, man, I'd say currently based on skill and all around ability, he is the best midfielder in the world today. His passes are great, he never dispossesses, and when not facing a jabulani, takes good free kicks.
I'd like someone like him in the middle of the pitch paired up with a stout defensive midfielder like Melo or Schweiny with two wingers with speed and crossing ability.

I agree with everything you said. My only knock on Xavi is his apparent reticence to shoot. Sometimes, I wish he'd just bust off a shot to keep people on their toes.

I nearly spat out my water laughing. I almost fell into the same trap.
All things considered, he's been pretty solid for Atletico Madrid, if not the super stud we all thought he'd be.
Did we ever find out if that stuff about him being breastfed was true?
